Rail Ride announcement

On October 4th, QCBS is hosting a Denton Rail Trail Ride, a leisurely-paced ride along the Denton Rail Trail route from just south of the city square to Loop 288, where many popular shopping destinations are. We’ll be starting at and ending on the town square across from Beth Marie’s ice cream parlor. Start time is 11AM, and we encourage all particpants to wear helmets as we’ll be sharing some roads with automobiles on this route. We welcome riders of all ages and bikes of all types.

At the start and at the end of this ride, we will also be promoting a letter writing initiative to Mayor Mark Burroughs about the lack of bike lanes in Denton and about the lack of a bridge connecting the rail trail across 288. The absence of a bridge prohibits riding the rest of the trail to Corinth. QCBS will address and mail all the letters that are signed to the Mayor.
